Yuvraj Singh to skip Punjab’s Ranji match against Andhra to attend friend Harbhajan’s reception

When it comes to choosing between friendship and cricket, it is definitely friendship for Punjab Ranji Trophy captain Yuvraj Singh, says a report in The Tribune, adding that Yuvraj has informed the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) that he would not be able to represent Punjab in their next match, which begins on Friday, as he would be attending his friend and teammate Harbhajan Singh’s marriage reception ceremony in Delhi.

Punjab are scheduled to play Andhra Pradesh in the four-day match at the Dhruv Pandove Cricket Stadium from tomorrow, while Harbhajan’s marriage reception will be held in New Delhi on Sunday. Yuvraj’s pulling out of the match has started a debate over whether a player should skip an important home season match in order to attend a private function.

Harbhajan and Geeta tied the knot in a traditional Punjabi wedding in Jalandhar on Thursday. Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar was one of the special guests who attended the wedding along with wife Anjali.

Meanwhile another report in ABP website says that Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh are childhood friends and are known to be very close to each other and like any other best friends, they don’t miss a chance to pull each other’s leg.

However, it was Yuvraj who nailed it with his mischievous message on Twitter in which Yuvraj not only managed to pull Bhajji’s leg but, at the same, wished the couple all the happiness in life.
