If IPL is a platform to return back in the national squad, I did very well in IPL 6: Harbhajan Singh

It’s not that only contenders of opening slot are being ignored for the place in Indian cricket team but also the spinners. Harbhajan Singh has not been the part of Indian ODI squad for quite a long time. His name missing in the list of players going for Zimbabwe tour has surely raised some eyebrows because of his brilliant performance in the Indian Premier League which also saw Mumbai Indians winning the sixth season of cash rich league.

Harbhajan still isn't bogged down by all this and is ready to do whatever it takes to wear that Indian jersey once again and make his nation proud.  He is looking forward to the domestic season where he will be putting in some more effort to get the call from the national selectors. He was quoted by Hindustan Times saying, "I will strive hard in the next 2-3 months and do every bit to bounce back into the national squad. Lot of things are going to happen in the next 2 to 3 months. If IPL is a platform to return back in the national squad I did very well. I took 24 wickets and Mumbai Indians were champions.”

Harbhajan is looking forward to Champions League and the domestic season where he would be looking to get his act right. He hasn’t left the hopes of returning to the Indian squad and is looking forward to it.

Turbanator went onto say, "Now it is for the selectors to take a final call on me. I am ready to play cricket whenever I get a chance and I am looking forward to play the Champions League. It has not brought down my motivation...cricket is everything for me. There is lot of cricket left in me...say at least five years. I have the passion to play the game.”

Bhajji was quoted by The Times of India saying, "There are ups and downs in everyone's life. I have played lot for the country without injury and won games. This is not the end of life. It’s a time for me to make my way into the squad after doing whatever I can.”

"I will play all types of cricket, including domestic to make a comeback. I would like to be back in the next series itself," he said.

Meanwhile the reports in Deccan Chronicle quoted off-spinner, who was taking a dig at his critics, saying, "Those who have played just a couple of matches should avoid commenting on those who played over 100 matches."

He feels great that current Indian team is achieving so much especially on the foreign soil. He believes that this young team needs to keep themselves upbeat for whatever they have in store for their future. He concluded by saying, "This team is doing well, which is a great sign. Players have taken up responsibilities very well. One should be on his toes all the time. Whenever you get a chance just grab it. But cricket is such a game that it changes every third day.
