It is always better to think what I can do and not worry about the batsmen: Ravindra Jadeja

Ravindra Jadeja believes in keeping his game as simple as possible. He bundled up with West Indies middle-order which allowed Indian team to restrict them to 233 runs after they got an impressive start.

He was not scared of bowling to the big-hitters like Keiron Pollard and Chris Gayle and was quoted by DNA saying, "It is always better to think what I can do and not worry about the batsmen. I was able to bowl a straight forward line and the batsmen made the mistakes."

He added,” Our fielding is so good that it gives our bowlers immense confidence to bowl. We don't have a single player whom we need to hide in the field. We have the correct balance in the team and that's the biggest advantage for us.”

He was quoted by Indian Express saying, "This is my best bowling performance and I am very happy about it. I have had three four-wicket hauls, but this one is special.” His career best figure of 5/36 earned him the Man-of-the-Match in the India’s second game of ICC Champions Trophy that was played on Tuesday.

He added, “I was just aiming to bowl the right line which I did today. The Oval wicket was dry and affording spin and I wasn't surprised by the conditions even if it was overcast.” India is now the first team to book their berths for the semi-final in this edition of Champions Trophy.

The left-arm bowler was quoted by Hindustan times saying, "Earlier I would strategize too much and get all mixed up. Now I just come for a game and adjust to the conditions and play my best. Mahi bhai (MS Dhoni) is a very good thinking captain. He can read your abilities very well and I am happy I am doing the job for him."

Jadeja concluded with a smile saying, "I still can't figure out why he calls me, Sirji."
