RCB will miss the services of Anil Kumble: Virat Kohli

Skipper of Royal Challengers Bangalore, Virat Kohli, is all set to lead the side in their opening game against Mumbai Indians at Chinnaswamy Stadium on Thursday. Kohli has been appointed as the full-time captain for RCB for the sixth season of Indian Premier League (IPL).

According to the recent reports in Indian Express, RCB Captain was quoted saying, "I had always loved to lead the side and in the previous two editions I got my chance once in a while. It comes with lots of pressure and expectations and I am ready to face the challenge that it brings."

"We had a training session under floodlights so that tomorrow we won’t be facing any problems as such and hopefully we will perform well tomorrow and have a good start of this season.”

Meanwhile Kohli was quoted by The Hindu saying, "Anil Kumble was something really special, he will always take care of us not just with on-field issues but also off-field issues. We will definitely miss him because in the manner he ignited that fighting spirit was something really special. I am lucky to have those players in the team whom he had groomed under his mentorship. He will always give his heart-out for the better performance of the team and that’s what I find really great ion him. He believes in leading by example and giving his 100 percent to the team.”

As per the recent reports in DNA, Virat was quoted saying, “Team is looking more balanced his season with the addition of few quickies in to our side. Having a good number of bowling options will always give you an edge if one or two bowlers are going for runs. Wicket at Chinnaswamy Stadium, always assist the pacers in the initial phase of the game. Ball will seam around if the pitch is fresh. I insisted to have good number of bowling options so that even if one of our bowlers gets injured we won’t be feeling bogged down.”
