Michael Clarke looks optimistic about beating India on their home turf

Australia Cricket Team is eagerly waiting to start their campaign against India in the Test series of four matches which is going to start from February 22 and for better preparations and result, they have already planned to send first troop of Australian team to sub-continent. Australia will play couple of warm-up games in Chennai ahead of the first Test in the same city from February 22-26.

According to the reports of Deccan Chronicle Aussie Skipper Michael Clarke looks very optimistic and would like to beat India on home turf for first time. He has been quoted by Deccan Chronicle saying, “Indians are no longer invincible at home and we will make sure we win the series this time.”

He added,” England’s win in India is a very good example of that and I am sure my team will play up to the potential and make sure we get our first series win.”

“For better results this move has been taken” chief selector John Inverarity said. He was quite excited and was quoted by the Times of India saying, "We want our players to get adjusted to the sub-continent conditions because pitches and climatic conditions are going to play a big role in this series. The players in the 17-man squad will travel to India in three separate groups in an effort to find the best balance for players."
He added, "It is planned to have Jackson Bird, Ed Cowan, Moises Henriques, Usman Khawaja, Nathan Lyon, James Pattinson, Peter Siddle and Steve Smith travel to India on February 7,"

Another report in DNA quoted him saying, "Glenn Maxwell and Matthew Wade will depart on February 9, as will David Warner who is unavailable for the remainder of the Australian international summer as he recovers from his thumb injury, but the remaining six players Michael Clarke, Shane Watson, Xavier Doherty, Mitchell Starc, Phillip Hughes, Mitchell Johnson will travel on February 11 after the ODI series against West Indies. These plans are subject to minor alterations."
