Young fast bowlers to get opportunity to bowl Team India at nets

Indian bowling has been a point of worry for quite a sometime and now BCCI has taken a step forward to encourage the young fast bowlers by giving them an opportunity to bowl in nets to Indian batsmen, says a report in The Times Of india.

BCCI official said, “You can say, it will be reward for their hard-work throughout the season. Sometimes the Indian batsmen don’t get the quality nets bowler at the venue, even the host association tries hard.” adds the report.

Meanwhile as per the reports of Deccan chronicle, Vidharbha pacer Shrikant Wagh, Madhya Pradesh fast bowler Ishwar Pandey and two left-handed spin bowlers in Rakesh Dhruv from Gujarat and Parveez Rasool from Jammu and Kashmir have been called for bowling in nets.
“BCCI has done it in the past when Umesh Yadav and Jaidev Unadkat were sent as net bowlers during India’s tour of Sri Lanka in 2010,” says the report, adding that Board has come up with this decision after seeing the fitness and form of our mainline seam bowlers like Zaheer Khan, S Sreesanth, Umesh Yadav and Munaf Patel.

Board is now focused on planning a back-up bowling attack in case Bhuvaneshwar Kumar or Shami Ahmed gets injured or they need some rest because of the busy International Schedule of Indian Team,” the Times of India added.
