I do not think there was any wrong decision at Olympics: Sushil Kumar

Indian contingent at London Olympics was surrounded by refereeing issue be it in boxing or in wrestling, but silver medallist Sushil Kumar said that he did  not think there was any wrong decision at the Olympics, says a report in The Times of India.

"I do not think there was any wrong decision at the Olympics. I have not seen the boxing bouts as I was busy in my preparation. As far as wrestling is concerned, there was no such issue as such", said Sushil.

On the ear-biting incident, Sushil said, “I am a vegetarian. If there was any wrong on my part, the referees would have disqualified me."

Wrestling is very popular in Haryana and Sushil thinks that introducing the sport in schools is the major reason for that.

He said, “"We have a bright future in wrestling. With our medals, parents will be encouraged to allow their children to take up wrestling. I have seen academies in New Delhi flooded with children. It is a big change in the sports scenario in India."

Meanwhile, Daily Bhaskar reports that Sushil Kumar said that if he had attacked his Japanese opponent first than he could have won the gold medal.

"Had I attacked the Japanese wrestler first, I could have won the gold medal for India in London Olympics", said Sushil.

On the next Olympics, Sushil said that he will ensure, “that Japanese wrestlers have tears in their eyes."
