Chris Gayle has come out in support of the explosive English batsmen Kevin Pietersen saying that England team has made a big mistake not to allow KP to play T20 World Cup, says a report in The Sun.
Gayle said that it will be a huge loss for the defending champions England when they go to Sri Lanka to defend their title. The explosive West Indian opener said that KP will know how much his body can hold and he does not understand why a player who don’t play 50-over cricket can’t play T20. He added that KP is the best batsmen in the England team and all the fellow players will miss him in the upcoming World Cup.
Chris Gayle is all set to be back in the West Indian colors when his side will take on England at Southampton in the first match of the one-day series on Saturday, says a report in The Times of India. Gayle has been one of the most successful batsmen for West Indies in ODIs. He has a very impressive record with more than 8,000 runs at an average of 40. He has scored 19 hundreds for his team.
Gayle is known for his explosive batting and the 32-year-old opener can be devastating when in full form. His coach Ottis Gibson ahead of the match said that Gayle is one of the best ODI batsmen in and he fits in perfectly in the West Indian squad.
