Rubbishing speculations about the difference between him and Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid said that everything was fine between him and the Master Blaster, says a report in The Times Of India.
Dravid said that Tendulkar had spoken to him before leaving for London to have his toe checked. “People are talking rubbish. Sachin and I are very good friends, and everything is just fine. He had called me up on Monday to inform that he won’t be able to attend the felicitation programme,” Dravid said, writes TOI.
According to a report in Hindustan Times, Dravid clarified that talk of the Sachin Tendulkar's omission from his speech at a felicitation function was “not intentional“. “Sachin and I have a good relationship. We had played together for the nation for 16 years. Hence any assumption about my differences with Sachin is media hype,” Dravid told HT.
Meanwhile Yuvraj Singh, recovering after his treatment in a US hospital for a rare germ cell cancer, got a morale-boosting visit from Sachin Tendulkar, writes HT. The two met for an hour at an apartment of Yuvraj's friend here on Wednesday. Yuvraj got a warm embrace from Sachin and the two posed for photographs. Sachin also wished Yuvraj a speedy recovery and an early return to the game. During the treatment in Indianapolis, Yuvraj had been paid a visit by Anil Kumble.
Meanwhile, Rahul Dravid said that Yuvraj Singh will be missed in this edition of the Indian Premier League. “But he is dealing with a more important thing. His speedy recovery and fitness is the biggest concern for us now. He is playing the most important innings of his life. We want him to be fit first, cricket can wait,” was Dravid’s take on his former teammate Yuvraj, says a report in TOI.
