Rio de Janeiro: Former Brazilian football player Keirrison has signed with Portuguese top-flight club Arouca as he attempts to jump-start his stalled career.
The 28-year-old on Thursday agreed to a one-and-a-half year contract with the Primeira Liga side, with the option of another year, Arouca said on social media, reports Xinhua news agency.

Once rated among Brazil's most promising strikers, Keirrison's prolific scoring for Coritiba and Palmeiras earned him a move to Barcelona in 2009.
But he was beset by injuries and poor form following the high-profile transfer. After enduring unsuccessful loan spells at Benfica, Fiorentina, Santos and Cruzeiro, Keirrison rejoined Coritiba on a free transfer in 2014, having failed to make a single first-team appearance for Barcelona.
He enjoyed a rare injury-free year in 2016, scoring eight times in 30 matches for Brazilian Serie B outfit Londrina.
