Milan: AC Milan head coach Massimiliano Allegri said Thiago Silva is likely to sit out of his side's Champions League game against Barcelona Wednesday due to a thigh injury.

The Brazilian defender picked up the injury in warm-up for the game against Roma Saturday, which the Milan side won 2-1 at home.

"Thiago Silva has a problem on his thigh and I think it's impossible to have him against Barcelona Wednesday," Allegeri was quoted as saying by Xinhua.

"We played a good first half today and conceded in the only occasion when Roma came forward. We came on to the field after the break with the real desire to turn things around and we achieved it."

Zlatan Ibrahimovic bagged a brace to wrap up the win.

"Ibrahimovic played a great game today. I think he is among the best players in the world," added Allegri.(IANS)
