EPL contemplating medical review after Muamba’s cardiac arrest

London: Fabrice Muamba's cardiac arrest during Bolton Wanderers FA Cup quarter finals against Tottenham Hotspur has made the English Premier League to contemplate and figure out if any improvements could be made in regards to on pitch treatment and medical tests for footballer.

Muamba who was in a serious conditions and required artificial breathing support has started breathing independently again and started talking as well.

Talking about the issue, Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore said "everyone comes out of this with huge credit," particularly the medics at Tottenham who immediately raced onto the pitch to try to resuscitate the 23-year-old Muamba.”

He was also said that there will be a full review of the treatment available at White Hart Lane for Muamba and the medical checks that footballers receive.

"Incidents and events shape policy, shape developments, shape progress. We will look at every aspect. If there are ways and means of making it better in the future. We will do everything we can to reduce to the point of elimination, if we possibly can, things like that." Scudamore was quoted by HT.
