Rome: Juventus moved to within four points of Italian Serie A leaders AC Milan with a comprehensive 5-0 win over 10-man Fiorentina. The visitors went ahead in the 15th minute thanks to Mirko Vucinic's goal and Fiorentina's hopes of recovering were dashed when Alessio Cerci was sent off five minutes later Saturday.
Arturo Vidal made it 2-0 for Juve at the break before further strikes from Claudio Marchisio, Andrea Pirlo and Simone Padoin finished off the home side.
Juve head coach Antonio Conte haled his side's performance as the best of the season.
"It felt like this game was going to be cursed as well when Mirko Vucinic hit the post early on, but then things got better. We made it easier for ourselves too," he was quoted as saying by Xinhua.
"We knew that Fiorentina would come out here and play the game of their lives. We did well and perhaps it was the best Juventus performance of the season."
