Milan play draw with Barca, Chelsea to face Benfica in Champions League

Nyon (Switzerland): Italian giants AC Milan were drawn against tournament favourites Barcelona in the Champions League quarterfinals draw held here Friday, while Chelsea, the only English team in the last eight, will play Portuguese club Benfica.

Current Spanish Primera Liga leaders Real Madrid have the easiest draw as they will play Champions League newcomers APOEL Nicosia from Cyprus. If Real win, they would then meet the winners of Marseille and Bayern Munich, who hammered Basel 7-1 on aggregate in the last 16.

German record champions Bayern Munich will have a tricky trip to French club Marseille, who knocked out 2009-10 Champions League winner Inter Milan.

All eyes will be on the Milan-Barca match. Barca have won the competition three times in the last six seasons, while Milan have been European champions seven times in total. The two teams met in the 1993-94 final, where Milan thrashed the Catalans 4-0.

Pep Guardiola's side will have home advantage in the second leg, and also in the semi-finals should they be victorious and will face the winner of the tie between Benfica and Chelsea.
