Fluminense undefeated in Libertadores Cup

Rio de Janeiro: Playing host to Venezuela's Zamora in the third round of Group D of the 2012 Libertadores Cup, Fluminense won 1-0 to keep a 3-0 win record in the tournament.

 

In the 49th minute, Fluminense fullback Anderson fired a fearsome shot past keeper Forero and into the back of the Zamora goal, Xinhua reported.

The win makes Fluminense the only Brazilian team to be undefeated in the tournament. The team is in first place of Group D with 9 points and holds a five point advantage over second place Boca Juniors.

In the next round of the group phase, Fluminense will travel to face Zamora March 29.
