Rome: Inter Milan late surge helped them beat Chievo 2-0 in a league matchup of the Italian Serie A to end their win drought after eight matches which included seven losses and a draw.

The victory saw Inter climb to sixth on the points table two points ahead of AS Roma.

Walter Samuel scored for Inter in front in the 87th minute with a header before Diego Milito, who missed a penalty, scored in the stoppage time.
