Eric Abidal will miss the round of 16 second leg match against Bayer 04 Leverkusen because of a groin injury. Abidal has been ruled out of the match and Josep Guardiola, coach of Barcelona will have to find an immediate solution for his defence.

Abidal has only missed one of FC Barcelona's games in the UEFA Champions League this season. Abidal has been side-lined for 10 days after.

Thiago Alcántara is also doubtful for the coming game as he injured his  right shin while training for Spain in there match against Venezuela in an friendly international match.
