Kolkata: City football giants East Bengal on Tuesday roped in Shyam Steel as co-sponsors of its team.
The club signed a one-year deal with the company, one of India's leading primary steel producers, at a formal ceremony in the club premises here.
Welcoming the company as a member of the East Bengal family, club General Secretary Kalyan Majumdar wished the contract would be extended in future.

Shyam Steel Director Govind Beriwal said his company was delighted to be a partner of the East Bengal team.
Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli is the company's brand ambassador.
