Kolkata: Pailan Arrows would host Air India in the 25th round of the I-League encounter at the Yuba Bharati Krinangan on Saturday.
Pailan Arrows stays at 9 points from 21 matches while Air India who are safe from relegation have 29 points from 24 outings.
Pailan Arrows head coach Sujith Chakravorti said, “I hope we can win on Saturday. We have been playing well but have not been able to get the desired result.”
“We played well against Mumbai FC in our last match. Youngsters like Prabir Das, Tirthankar Sarkar, George Alwyn and others played well, but somehow we couldn’t get the result what we have wanted.”
“Air India are a quality opposition and have very good players in their rank. We will try to give our 100 percent and win the match,” he added.
Arrows would miss the services of Prathamesh Maulingkar and Prabir Das due to injuries. Goalkeeper Naveen Kumar also stays doubtfull against airmen.
Meanwhile, Air India who have hold Prayag United SC in a goalless draw at the Salt Lake Stadium would be looking for a win. As these three crucial points will take them five points clear of Shillong Lajong who are just two points behind them.
Airmen stays confident against Arrows as they have defeated them 2-0 in the 11th round encounter.
