Royal Challengers Bangalore are out of the race for the Play offs. RCB were defeated by the Rajasthan Royals by 30 runs in their last league game. With this win RR have made it to 14 points in the points table and as it eventually turned out, have made it to the Play offs. Rajasthan batted first and scored 164 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. Rahul Tripathi top scored with 80 runs.

In response, RCB bundled out for 134 runs in 19.2 overs. RCB were 75/1 at one stage. However, by the time it reached 108 runs RCB had lost 8 wickets. Spinner Shreyas Gopal single handedly changed the complexion of the game. He bowled his four overs for 16 runs picking up 4 big wickets for his side.

Shreays Gopal was adjudged the player of the match for his career best performance.
