Colombo: Despite questions being raised about England’s captain Andrew Strauss’ future, insisted on not thinking about his future and said that he is rather focused on the second test against Sri Lanka, a bbc.co.uk report said.
"It would be wrong for me to think about anything other than us trying to win this game," a bbc.co.uk quoted Strauss.
Asked if he would contemplate on his future if England lost the second test, he said, "I'm not looking at it that way. I've got every intention of playing well myself and every intention of us winning as well."
Strauss had been struggling with his form off late and has now has one century in the last 48 innings.
During the hour of crisis the English skipper found supporters within his dressing room with Steven Finn and Jonathan Trott stressing on the point that Strauss does have the backing of his team.
