Gros Islet: A 70 ball 102 by Kieron Pollard helped West Indies beat Australia 42 runs in the fourth ODI to take a 2-1 lead in the five match series.
Pollard, 24 hit eight sixes and five fours in innings as he helped West Indies pile up 294 for seven off 50 overs.
In reply, Australia who were dismissed for 252, got decent start through Shane Watson (28), Peter Forrest (24), George Bailey (25) and Mike Hussey (26) all getting decent starts never could capitalize on it as they were five down for 112.
A sixth-wicket 67 runs partnership between David Hussey and Matthew Wade kept Australia in the hunt, but with Wade losing his wicket in the 34th over to Pollard saw Australia knocked out of the game virtually.
With scorecard reading 196 for seven, Hussey lost his wicket in the 39th over for a score of 57. A late fighback by Brett Lee who made a career best 59 but that was not enough to Australia through.
Earlier, West Indies hit 145 runs off the last 12 overs with Lee going for 23 in the final over.
