Melbourne: Captain Michael Clarke who is recovering from a hamstring injury and Ricky Ponting who was dropped from the recently concluded CB Series were included in Australia's 16-man squad for the three-Test tour in West Indies from next month on Wednesday.

The 37-year-old Ponting, who stepped down from limited-overs cricket after getting the axe from the ODI squad last month, has been retained in the Test line-up after a magnificent test series against India

Other players recalled are Shane Watson, James Pattinson and Micheal Beer. Shane Watson and James Pattinson are returning after nursing injuries.
