Trinidad: West Indies ace batsmen’s demise on Sunday night due to a car accident has the left the whole cricket fraternity into a mourning mode.
The 33-year-old succumbed to his injuries on spot when his car hit a pole. The talented batsmen played 15 Test matches, 56 One-day internationals and seven Twenty20s for the West Indies since making his international debut in 2002, alongside he scored 573 runs in Tests at an average of 22.03 and 1519 in ODIs with an average of 33.75.
The last match played by Morton was in Feb 2010 in a Twenty 20 against Australia in Sydney. Morton in his career had represented Trinidad, Tobago, Leeward Islands and Nevis.
Along with his family the whole cricket fraternity seems to be rendering their condolence to this ‘warrior’. Tweets are flooding down from Chris Gayle to Carlos Brathwaite, everybody seemed to wish peace for the late and very talented Morton.
Morton has had hit many controversies in his career from being expelled from the West Indian Academy in the year 2001, then being arrested in Jan 2004, following a stabbing scuffle to being caught on possession of Marijuana , the man was controversies best child.
