Abu Dhabi: Sunil Gavaskar, the batting legend is optimistic about Indo –Pak series soon. The legend told that he was hopeful that India and Pakistan would face each other soon in the playground and further quoted that it was hectic schedule stopping to resume a series. It is noteworthy that Sunil Gavaskar is equally popular in Pakistan and India.

India suspended all bilateral ties with Pakistan in the wake of the 2008 militant attacks in Mumbai, which India blamed on extremists based across the border.

Both countries are scheduled to play in 2013 under the International Cricket Council (ICC) Future Tours Programme (FTP) but India's busy schedule has left no space for the ties to be revived.
