Harbhajan leads from front at Punjab beat Jharkhand by 7 wickets in Syed Mushtaq Ali TournamentNew Delhi: Leading from the front, Punjab skipper Harbhajan Singh bowled yet another tight spell as other bowlers, too, chipped in to take wickets at regular intervals and helped Punjab restrict Jharkhand to just 104/9 in 20 overs in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Tournament on Wednesday. Later, Pargat Singh led Punjab’s charge with an unbeaten 60 as they beat Jharkhand by seven wickets with 15 balls to spare.

Earlier, Jharkhand opener Virat Singh made 41 off 38 balls but the rest struggled to even get to 20. In another match, Hanuma Vihari first top scored for Hyderabad with 44 from just 28 balls and then picked 2/13 from three overs as Hyderabad beat Haryana by 35 runs.

Meanwhile, a half century by Parthiv Patel helped Gujarat beat Bengal by nine wickets at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Jamtha, Nagpur.
