New Delhi: Yuvraj Singh’s unbeaten 78 off 59 balls helped Punjab beat Rajasthan by six wickets in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in Secunderabad on Tuesday. Now, Punjab with four wins out of five matches are on top of group A with 16 points.
Earlier, Manender Singh top-scored with 118 in Rajasthan's 270 for 7.
Chasing the target, Punjab started off well with Jiwanjot Singh (66) and Mandeep Singh (60). Later Yuvraj with 10 fours and two sixes helped his team race to victory with 32 balls to spare.
Brainder Sran returned with a figure of 4 for 60 as Rajasthan posted a decent 270/7 in 50 overs.
Jharkhand beat Karnataka
Though Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s poor run with the bat in domestic cricket continued as he could score only one, Jharkhand managed to comfortably beat defending champions Karnataka to get a step closer to the qualifying for the quarter-finals of the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
