Bilaspur: Riding on a brilliant ton (102) off 136 balls by South paw Abhishek Sharma, Punjab ended Day-1 of their Vijay Merchant Trophy tie against Himachal at Bilaspur with 224 for 6 in 79 overs.

Abhishek sharma’s fluent innings was studded with 16 boundaries and one huge six. He was ably support by Naman Dhir 45 off 132 balls with 8 boundaries and Dipin Chitkara 27 off 52 balls with 6 boundaries.

For Himachal Vikram Thakur 4 for 34 was the most successful bowler.
