Jaipur: Rajasthan Royals kept their slate clean at home ground as they beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by four wickets at Sawai Man Singh Stadium here on Monday. Happy with the win, Rajasthan skipper Rahul Dravid was in all praise for Sanju Samson.
"With Chris Gayle going the way he did, we were on the back foot in the first six overs. But the way we batted in the first six and the way Samson Sanju batted, we just seemed to be in control right through. With 13 in two overs, I thought it was going to comfortable. Lot of cricket left to be played and we need to focus a game at a time," said Dravid.
Meanwhile losing yet another away game, a disappointed Virat Kohli said it to be unfortunate. "Another loss unfortunately. We were 10-15 runs short. Rajasthan batted really well. I got out at the wrong time. If one batsman could have added another 20-30 runs, it could have changed things. We got really excited looking at the wicket. We didn't bowl at a good length. We bowled really short initially and gave many boundaries," said Kohli.
Sanju Samson, who bagged the Man of the Match, said he would like to thank his family and team for the success. "I would like to thank my family and my team. I was prepared for it and it's my day. I was trying to get maximum runs in the Powerplay," said Sanju.
