Clarke warns India of a possible turnaround

clarke201New Delhi: Australian skipper Michael Clarke on Friday warned India of a possible turnaround in the Test series, saying that it wasn't in the Aussie's nature to give up without a fight.

Showing optimism, Clarke said, "It's not in our nature to give up without a fight. We have every chance to comeback in the series. We think that if we can win one, we can win two and level the series. But then it's not going to be easy as India are playing really good cricket ."

Having lost the first two Tests without any fight, the Australian skipper admitted that India were a better side at the moment and said that the Aussies were outplayed by the hosts in all departments. "All credit to India. They outplayed us in all departments -- batting, bowling and fielding. We need to improve as team. We have learnt from our mistakes in the first two games, and I feel we still have plenty of time to correct our flaws before the next game," Clarke said during a function announcing Spartan Sports Goods' association with capital's Hyatt Regency hotel.

Clarke also said that playing in Indian conditions was tough. "Only four of us has experience of playing Test matches in India. The conditions are tough and demaning in India," Clarke added.

Talking about the axing of Virender Sehwag, Clarke said the veteran has a lot of cricket left in him and would bounce back for sure. "Virender has been a fantastic player for India in all three formats of the game. And I am confident, that he will be back," said Clarke.
