New Delhi: In all praise for Cheteshwar Pujara, who scored an unbeaten double ton in the first Test against England, former Indian captain Kapil Dev said that Pujara has shown a great temperament but it was too early to compare him with Rahul Dravid.

“Pujara has just started and it won’t be fair to compare him Rahul Dravid so early. Why to compare the two. Let Pujara make his own position in the team and name for himself. Comparison will only lead to pressure on the youngster," said Kapil, adding that Dravid played for 15 years to become what he is today.

Meanwhile Ajay Jadeja too was impressed with Pujara and said that his hunger for runs would take him a long way. “He has the hunger for getting more and more runs. He has the temperament. Even after completing his hundred, he worked hard to get to the double century. He is showing he wants to get better, and that’s a good sign," said Jadeja.

Though impressed by the way Yuvraj Singh batted in the first innings, Kapil showed his concern towards his health. “He is one of the finest cricketers and he has a long way to go but he must look after his health first and then he can go on playing," said Kapil.
