India to take on South Africa in one-off T20

BCCINew Delhi: In a one-off Twenty20 international match India will take on South Africa to honor the 150 years of Indian settlement in the African country. The match will be played on March 30 in Johannesburg just before the IPL.

It is likely that the team selected for the Asia Cup will be more or less the side that will take on the Proteas. The side that will leave for South Africa may see flamboyant Robin Uthappa replacing Sachin Tendulkar. The batting maestro does not play T-20 internationals and will not be looking to change that record.

The invitation of playing the match was sent by the South African cricket board and BCCI has accepted the same.

The Indian team will play in the Asia Cup, scheduled to take place in Bangladesh from March 11 to March 22.

Indian squad for Asia Cup:

MS Dhoni (Captain), Virat Kohli (vice-captain), Gautam Gambhir, Sachin Tendulkar, Rohit Sharma, Irfan Pathan, Ravindra Jadeja, Yusuf Pathan, Vinay Kumar, Praveen Kumar, Ashok Dinda, Suresh Raina, R Ashwin, Rahul Sharma, Manoj Tiwary
