Gurgaon: Fast becoming a sought after destination for leisure activities, Gurgaon-based V Club on Sunday played host to a multi-sport corporate event where members from 40 different companies gathered for a fun evening.
The V Club Corporate Sports Tournament, which was organised in association with LEH LEH Sports and Decathlon generated an overwhelming response with over 125 entries from 40 different companies including HCL, Jet Airways, Aspiring Minds, SAP, Girnar Soft, Infosys, EY, Yes bank, Bank of America and many more at the newly opened sports & recreation club.
Representatives from these companies competed for the top spot in four different disciplines – Badminton, Squash, Pool and Table Tennis - in Men, Women and Mixed categories at the state-of-the-art sports facilities, managed by LEH LEH Sports and equipments provided by Decathlon.
Vishaka Beriwala from Vipul Limited said: ‘‘The Tournament was a great success for everyone. Participants from different companies competed and brought-out their hidden athletes in them. With the top-rated sporting facilities, the participants competed hard and enjoyed the tournament on the weekend. V-Club will be organising more such events in the future so that citizens get opportunity to play their favourite sport.’’
V Club also arranged non-competing sports like Indoor Archery, Dart Games and Racquetball for the family members of the participants. The family members also spent the joyful Sunday at V Club’s lavish Lounge & Bar, Multi-Cuisine Restaurant and Deli-cum-Juice bar & cafe.
The multi-speciality club consists of two indoor Badminton courts, two Squash courts, a Tennis court, special rooms for Table Tennis, Aerobics/Zumba & Yoga Studio and Card Games as well as a Swimming Pool, where they occasionally conduct Aqua Zumba and Yoga Classes.
V Club has tied-up with Duplays for providing coaching and training facilities for all racquet sports and swimming. The club also has a super-specialty Gymnasium with experienced trainer and a separate room for Yoga Classes. The all-season club also boasts of a luxurious 24-seat theatre and abundant banquet spaces.
