Additionally one more team, drawn randomly, will get another chance to qualify for the National final at the end of the regional rounds.
The Audi quattro Cup tournament series, established in 1991, has become one of the most celebrated amateur golf tournaments in the world bringing together over 85000 golfers from 54 countries. The Indian circuit of Audi quattro Cup visits 13 other cities making it a 14-leg series and would touch almost 1600 golfers in all.
“Audi has been committed to the sport of golf for almost two decades. The sport which stands for precision and technique truly embodies Audi's philosophy of ‘Vorsprung durch Technik’. The Audi quattro Cup is ranked amongst the biggest and most popular amateur golf tournaments worldwide. The tournament which enters its fifth season in India has emerged as not just a popular sporting event but also as an ideal opportunity to intensify business relationships and establish new contacts,” said Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India.
Apart from the main prizes, the various skills prizes promise to keep every participant enthused. In fact, the overall winner of the “Straightest Drive” will be treated to a two-day Audi experience on the weekend with a chauffeur-driven Audi A7.
The Delhi Golf Club home to National and International events is primed for the event. The famed “jhadis” roughs of the DGC demand accuracy. However with a friendly format in place, the golfers should find it easy.
