FIDE International Arbiter Workshop begins

chess pictureNew Delhi: FIDE International Arbiter Workshop organized All India Chess Federation under the aegis of Asian Chess Federation, FIDE Arbiters Commission and World Chess Federation (FIDE) Arbiters got off to a rousing start here at Hotel Park Plaza, Shahadra on Saturday.


FIDE Arbiters Commission taken this initiative to provide the right platform to the selected 26 International Arbiters from five Asian Countries to refresh their knowledge as well as to make acquaint with the new rules and regulations, which are coming to effect from 01 Jul 14.


To the surprise of the participants, Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav visited the conference hall and interacted with the participants and shared his chess experiences.


The resource persons of this conference are International Arbiter Casto Abundo of Philippines, Chairman Constitutional Commission FIDE and International Arbiter R Anatharam, Assistant Secretary Qualification Commission FIDE and the participating International Arbiters of this workshop are Abd Hamid Bin Abd Majid, Lim Tse Pin of Malayasia, Md Haroon or Rashid of Bangladesh, Bharat Singh, Vipnesh Bhradwaj, Gopakumar M S, R Srivatsan, Paul Arokiaraj, N K Nandakumar, Bhuvanaa Sai L R, Mr. Vasanth B H, M Manjunath, Debashish Barua, Asit Baran Choudhary, Nitin Shenvi, R S Tiwari, Rajinder Sharma, Vijayaraghavan, Bijuraj S of India, Jayasinghe Erosh, Malith Akalanka, Buddhi Panagoda, Werochana Perera, Tissera Thiwanka of Sri Lanka, Gyanendra Khaiju, Bidur Prasad Gautam and Umesh K C of Nepal.
