London: Viswanathan Anand played out a draw with Levon Aronian of Armenia in the third round of the London Chess Classic. World Champion Anand got an early advantage but failed to grab home the advantage.
Aronion fought hard to share the points with Anand.
Meanwhile, World No 1 Magnus Carlsen of Norway shared points with Vladimir Kramnik of Russia.
In the last match, Anand who got a first round bye was playing white but could not capitalise on the advantage and had a lucky escape. He survived a scare before playing out a draw against Luke McShane of England in the second round.
