Gurgaon: International Master Himanshu Sharma of Haryana, Kantilal Dave of Rajasthan Akshat Chandra of Delhi, Prince Bajaj of Delhi and K Srikanth of SSCB are leading with 4 ponts each at the end of 4th round .in the 1st Gurgaon All India Open Fide Rating Chess Championship 2012, being held at Rishi Public School Sector 31 Gurgaon.
They are closely followed by International Master Arghayadeep Das of West Bangal and Puneet Jaiswal of Delhi with 3½ points each. In the 3rd round top seed Arghyadeep Das of West Bangal was held to draw by 15th seed Sahil Tickoo of Haryana. All other seeded players won their games comfortably.
A total of 103 players are participating in this championship. It is being organised by District Chess Association Gurgaon. Satbir Tanwar Advocate, President, Distt. Bar Association Gurgaon inaugurated the tournament on Saturday. He was accompanied by Devinder Rawat-Adv, Satbir Janghu-Adv & Pawan Tyagi Advocate. Naresh Sharma-general Secretary of the Haryana Chess Association, Rajpal Chauhan, Desh Ratan Gulati, Umed Sharma were also present on the occasion.
