Gurgaon: International Master Himanshu Sharma of Haryana and International Master Arghayadeep Das of West Bangal are leading with 2 points along with 21 players in the 1st Gurgaon All India Open Fide Rating Chess Championship 2012, being held at Rishi Public School Sector 31 here.

Earlier in the day Subhash Singla, noted Industrialist and Councillor of Ward 18 inaugurated the 2nd day of the Six day event. He was delighted to see the magnitude of the tournament. He assured his full cooperation to the organisers. Those present includes Naresh Sharma-General Secretary of the Haryana Chess Association, Umed Sharma-Vice President, Naveen Bansal-Chief Arbitor, Desh Ratan Gulati, Rajpal Chauhan, O.P.Jain, Niaz Ahmed,Govind Sharma and other members of association.

A total of 103 players are participating in this championship. It is being organised by District Chess Association Gurgaon.
