Humpy, the highest rated player in the tournament found her Ukrainian opponent to tough and now faces a must win situation in the reverse tie against her with black pieces to stay alive in the knock-out championship.
Meanwhile another Indian Grandmaster D Harika took a huge step towards making it to the pre-quarterfinals with a win over Elina Danielian of Armenia in her first game of the second round.
