New Delhi: Utkarsh Arora displayed a fine game of badminton and thrashed Shikhar Aggarwal 21- 18, 21-7 in a third round matchup of the GD Chawla Memorial Badminton Championship played here on Tuesday.

In the first set both the players put up a brilliant show and were locked in a neck to neck battle and it was very difficult to predict as to who would run away with the set. But eventually Utkarsh who hit some great smashes won the first set 21-18.

In the second set, Shikhar Aggarwal who was suffering from knee and ankle injury looked disoriented and showed lack of motivation in the second set. Utkarsh cashed on this opportunity and dominated the second set outright to win the set 21-7.

In other match, Gaurav Deshwal ousted Dhurav kumar 22-20, 21-17 for a place in boys singles.
