India’s ace shuttler PV Sindhu defeated Japan's Nozomi Okuhara 22-20, 11-21, 21-18 to clinch the Korean Open Super Series title, on Sunday.
Both the players gave it their all with Sindhu winning the first game while Okuhara clinching the second. In the third game Sindhu had three match points, however, Okuhara refused to give in till the end and went on to save one of those match points, playing long rallies. But Sindhu managed to keep her cool and finally became the first Indian to clinch the Korean Open Superseries title. She claimed the title in a one hour and 24 minutes battle.
