It is Djo-Fed show at French Open semisParis: French Open semi finals cannot get bigger than this after two of the greatest tennis player of the Open Era Novak Djokovic of Serbia and Roger Federer of Switzerland clinched thrilling victories over their respective opponents.

Former World number 1 Swiss after going two set down came back in a most emphatic manner to beat the Argentine Juan Martin del Porto 3-6, 6-7, 6-2, 6-0, 6-3 whereas for the current World number1 Serb the story was no different as after going down 1-2 he came from behind to defeat Frenchmen Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 6-1, 5-7, 5-7, 7-6, 6-1.

Both Potro and Tsonga showed immense character to push these two great players to the brink but then could not ultimately stop them from setting up an epic semi finals clash.

Federer and Djokovic would go to head for the 26th time with the former leading at 14-11, but how things have transpired in the recent time, the Serb enjoy an upper hand.

Federer who beat Djokovic last year at the semis of the French Open in four sets is his only victory in their last six outings.

Djokovic, after saving four match points against Tsonga in a quarter-final thriller, said he knew what to expect.

Whoever wins the match knows that they would most probably be up for a bigger challenge as in all possibilities they would face the King of Clay Rafael Nadal in the finals who is yet to drop a set in this year’s tournament.

Neither of these players have ever beaten Nadal at Roland Garros, with the Spaniard enjoying a record of 49-1 here at the Roland Garros.
