Moscow: Russia are a "dangerous" team and will qualify from their group at Euro 2012, former Chelsea and Russia coach Guus Hiddink said Saturday.

Russia,who are in Group A along with Poland and Greece, hammered the Czech Republic 4-1 in their first game of the tournament Friday, with CSKA Moscow's 21-year-old midfielder Alan Dzagoev scoring twice. "They are a very dangerous and experienced team who have turned up at the Euro in great condition," Hiddink said on the website of Russian club Anzhi, where he is head coach.

"I'm sure that the Russians will get out of the group."

Hiddink coached Russia from 2006 to 2010 before handing over the reins to fellow Dutchman Dick Advocaat, who will leave after Euro 2012.

Hiddink joined big-spending Russian Premier League side Anzhi Makachala in February and guided the team to a fifth-place finish in the league.

The result guarantees the Caucasus-based club their first taste of European football in next season's Europa League. (IANS)
