Germany thrash India 5-2 at London OlympicsLondon: India lost their fifth consecutive match at the London Olympics as Belgium defeated the higher ranked Indian team 3-0 at the Riverbank Arena. India is the only team out of the 12 team that are participating to not have any points against their name.

Belgium got the lead in the 15th minute when Jerome Dekeyser beat the Indian goalkeeper. The first half ended with Belgium leading one goal to nil.

Gauthier Boccard doubled their lead in the opening minutes of the second half. Indian players looked lost in the middle and failed to threaten the Belgium defence.
Things got worse for Michael Nobbs’ men when Tom Boon sounded the plank for the third time in the dying minutes of the match to make it 3-0. India did get two penalty corners but failed to convert any.

India will now play South Africa for the 11th and the 12th position.
