London: Vijay Kumar became the second Indian after Gagan Narang to win the medal at the London Olympics. Vijay won a silver medal in the men's 25m Rapid Fire Pistol.
Kumar in the process defeated many shooters including Alexei Klimov and the Chinese duo of Ding Feng and Zhang Jian.
Vijay shot the target 30 times out of 40in the series comprising eight rounds of five shots each.
Vijay became the fourth shooter after Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Abhinav Bindra and Gagan Narang to have won an Olympic medal.
