London: Saina Nehwal brought some respite to the high profile Indian badminton contingent which have its mixed doubles pair of Jwala Gutta and V Diju on the brink of elimination with a straight games victory over Sabrina Jacquet of Switzerland 21-9, 21-4 in her first match of the event.
The world number 5 Saina, a strong medal prospect for the country started her campaign as expected and dominated the Swiss for her straight games 21-9, 21-4 victory at the Wembley Arena. In a match that lasted just 24 minutes, Saina was seen in a punishing mood did not allow Sabrina any room to breathe.
