Mohali: In the first match of 2nd round matches of Punjab State Under-23 tournament for Umesh Kumar Trophy being played between Mohali and Zone-A at Kapurthala, Mohali started the play from the overnight score of 25 for 1 and were all out at 161 in 41.3 overs.

Angadbir 12, Amish Sidhu 13, Subeer Hayer 36, Ramandeep 64 were the main run getters for Mohali. For Zone-A Karan Bhargav 5 for 69, Harjot Singh 4 for 49 were the main wicket takers. Zone-A won the match by 100 runs and got 6 points while Mohali got 0.

In the second match being played between Chandigarh and Amritsar at Gandhi Grounds Amritsar, Chandigarh started the play from their overnight score of 118 for 8 in 46.1 overs and were all out at 159 in 64.4 overs. Chandigarh given a lead of 247 runs to Amritsar. Veer Karan Goyal 19, Shivam Bhambri 22, Nawansh 16, Bhagmender 61 and Rajpal 16 were the main run getters for Chandigarh. In the 3rd match being played at Dhruv Pandove Stadium Patiala between Patiala and Jalandhar, Jalandhar started the play from the overnight score of 159 for 7 in 71 overs and were all out at 177 in 77 overs. In the 4th match being played at PAU Ludhiana between Ludhiana , Zone B started the play from their overnight score of 177 for 5 and were all out at 229 in 70.1 overs and given a target of 179 runs to Ludhiana. Atul Thakur 72, Harmanjit Singh 84, and Sunil Kumar 8 were the main run getters for Zone-B and for Ludhiana Bhupinder Singh 7 for 67, Nikhil Choudhary 1 for 22 and Sukhjinder 1 for 64 and Navendu 1 for 46 were the main wicket takers.
