India’s Ishan Kishan remains at the top of the ICC men’s T20I batting rankings, while England captain Harry Brook has climbed five places to a career-best fourth after the home series against Sri Lanka.

Brook scored 114 not out in the first match in Southampton and finished with 170 runs to be named Player of the Series in England’s 3-0 win. He is the top-ranked Test batter and has moved up three places to 12th in the ODI list, which puts a top-10 place in all three formats within reach.

Jos Buttler, who made 172 runs in the series, is up two places to fifth.

Indian movers

India captain Shreyas Iyer is up seven places to joint-22nd in the batting list. Among bowlers, Axar Patel has climbed 12 places to 15th and Ravi Bishnoi five places to 35th. India’s players also moved up in last week’s update.

Abrar Ahmed takes over at No. 1

Pakistan leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed is the No. 1 T20I bowler for the first time, on 736 points. Rashid Khan slipped one point behind him after a poor last match against India, ending six months at the top.

Abrar is the fifth Pakistan bowler to top the T20I table, after Umar Gul, Saeed Ajmal, Imad Wasim and Shahid Afridi.

England’s Jamie Overton rose 47 places to a career-best sixth after taking five wickets against Sri Lanka, and Liam Dawson moved up 12 to 11th. Afghanistan’s Azmatullah Omarzai is up three to 49th. Will Jacks is 58th among bowlers and third among all-rounders.

ODI rankings

Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza moved up five places to 24th in the ODI batting list after innings of 45 and 81 not out against Australia. Josh Inglis rose 11 places to 30th, Craig Ervine seven to 65th and Will Jacks two to 77th.

Australia’s Nathan Ellis is up three places to a career-best 17th among ODI bowlers after nine wickets in the Zimbabwe series. Sri Lanka’s Asitha Fernando went from 39th to 30th after taking three for 53 in the first ODI against England at Chester-le-Street.
