Bengaluru, September 23: Khalin Joshi shot a four-under 68 in the second round of the Bengaluru Open 2026 powered by IndianOil on Wednesday to open up a six-shot lead at the Karnataka Golf Association.

The 34-year-old from Bengaluru is on 15-under 129 after 36 holes of the INR 1 crore DP World PGTI event. His second round had five birdies and one bogey.

Manoj S is alone in second place on nine-under 135 after rounds of 65 and 70.

Career-low 61 on day one

Joshi built the lead on Tuesday with a bogey-free 11-under 61, the lowest round of his career. It included an eagle on the par-5 11th and nine birdies, and put him four shots clear of Manoj.

He came to his home course straight after winning the Nava Raipur Open last week, a result that lifted him to seventh in the Race to DP World India Championship.

“I’m very comfortable playing at my home course, and it is encouraging that the good form has continued from last week,” Joshi said after the first round.

Four players share third

Manu Gandas (69-68), Saptak Talwar (67-70), Shaurya Bhattacharya (66-71) and Veer Ahlawat (68-69) are tied third on seven-under 137. Mari Muthu R is seventh on six-under 138 after rounds of 67 and 71.

“I’m pleased with the way I’ve played over the first two rounds and satisfied with where I am,” Joshi said on Wednesday.

Cut falls at one over

The halfway cut fell at one-over 145, with 52 players from the 132-strong field going through to the last two rounds on Thursday and Friday.
