
Guwahati: Guwahati Royals beat Charaideo Sunrisers by 30 runs in match 37 of the Imperial Blue Packaged Drinking Water Assam Premier League 2026 at the ACA Stadium in Guwahati on Wednesday. The result knocked Sunrisers out of the tournament and confirmed a semi-final berth for Barak Legends.
Rohit Sen’s 96 at the top of the order took Royals to 182 for 5, and Bastab Roy then took four wickets to keep Sunrisers well short of the target. Manash Jyoti Gogoi made 32 for the chasing side but couldn’t get them close enough.

Sunrisers won the toss and chose to field first. Rohit Sen and Sanjay Kumar Singh put on 38 for Royals’ opening stand before Singh fell for 9 in the fifth over.
Rohit took charge from there, adding useful partnerships with captain Rishav Das (21) and Nibir Deka (30) before opening up in the closing overs. He finished with 96 off 57 balls, hitting six fours and eight sixes, and was out as Royals moved to 159 for 4 in the 18th over.
Nipan Deka fell for a duck soon after, but Gunjan Jyoti Deka’s unbeaten 19 off just six balls pushed the total on to 182 for 5. Reshabh Dipak was the pick of the Sunrisers bowlers with 3 for 34, while Himanshu Saraswat and Amlan Jyoti Das took a wicket each.
Bastab Roy’s four-wicket haul ends the chase
Sunrisers made a solid start in reply, with captain Sumit Ghadigaonkar and Hrishikesh Tamuli putting on 53 for the first wicket. Tamuli kept the innings moving after Ghadigaonkar’s dismissal, striking 32 off 21 balls with three fours and two sixes before he was out with the score on 59 for 2.
Reshabh Dipak and Soumya Kanti Paul then added quick runs, Paul hitting 23 off just 10 balls, but wickets kept falling as the required rate climbed. Manash Jyoti Gogoi fought on in the middle overs with 32 off 21 balls, though he found little support at the other end.
Bastab Roy was the difference for Royals, taking 4 for 21 to break the chase open, while Rupesh Chetry and Deepak Gohain picked up two wickets apiece. Raj Agarwal and Nipan Deka added one wicket each as Sunrisers were bowled out for 152 in the 18th over, 30 runs short of the target.
